HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICAH

Happy 2ND Birthday Micah!!

Today we celebrate your life Micah! Mommie and Poppie love you very much and we are very grateful that you are part of our family.
This morning you really didn't make it through Mass--I took you too the cry room. It was just the two of us until Malia had to join us. While nursing Malia I watched you play so happily with your trains. In the last two weeks trains have become your world. You have no problems just laying on the floor and pushing your trains around. How pleasant!!! You have become the train maniac. When you wake you go straight to your trains. When you are playing through out the day you are usually carrying 2 trains (one for each hand), and today for each meal that you ate your trains were right there by your plate. The only thing you don't do with your trains is sleep with them. Every night before you go to sleep we put the trains to "sleep". So far you haven't asked for them to be in your bed. Every now and then I go in your room and find a train on your pillow---when I ask "Why is Percy on your pillow", Micah you look at me with your cute little grin and say night nigth Shhhhhhhhh!
You have grown so fast in these last 2 years. I am trying to catch each moment and savor it! Having your hugs and kisses always seems to come my way right when I need it.
Even though we are all preparing for the hurricane today we were still able to do our birthday tradition. This morning we all enjoyed DONUTS!! You were trying to blow the candle out before we could finish singing.I look forward to all of the joy you will bring my way. I pray that you allow Our Lord to stay close to your heart. I pray that Our Blessed Mother will protect you with her mantle always. May the love of Jesus shine through you for many more years to come. I love you Micah and Happy Birthday---Love Mommie

From Malia: Happy Birthday Micah--Thank you for all of your kisses and for always playing with my piggies. I love it when you always call my name when I am carried into the room. I enjoy you sitting next to me while Mommie feeds me. I enjoy the little visits you pay me while I swing in the swing. Most of all I enjoy the way you are a big brother to me already! I can't wait for us to play more together. Happy Birthday--I love you. By the way I really didn't like it when you poked me in the eye this morning in the cry room-I rather you just play with my toes:)

From Poppie: Wow! I can't believe you are already two. Happy Birthday little man. At age two you are calling me Pay Pay and I love it. Thank you for loving me so much and making me smile everyday when I see you. I was very excited to know that the donut shop was open this morning to continue our tradition of donuts for the special birthday person. I wish we could be at the beach with our feet in the sand, but we will reschedule soon and make it a Micah & Grant beach birthday. I look forward to seeing you grow each day to the age of three. My prayer for you is that God blesses you with joy, health and a very peaceful life. I love you very much and I thank God for allowing me to bring you into this world. POPPIE

Our day ended today with a quick trip to the park to continue to celebrate Micah's Birthday, had a good supper of steak rice and gravy, and ended with a rosary for protection from the storm.
