Answered Prayers

Today is the day that Hurricane Gustav came to visit. This morning we started our day as usual. Grant and Zoe you both did your scripture clay while Poppie and Mommie got a few last things together.
At about 10:15 Poppie said he was ready to head to the plant. We were settled in the bottling room by 11 along with Aunt Jessica, Uncle Beau, Graci, Jack, Papa Love, Sweet Heart and snow bell the cat.
We really had it made in the shade. It was really comfortable. Poppie and Papa worked so hard to get EVERYTHING we needed for the stay. We had A/C, refrigerators, lounge chairs, 2 TVs and a basket ball goal. We also had junk food galore. All of the kids made their very own club house. Playing for 8 hours straight with your cousins in a warehouse --What more could you ask for?????

We lost electricity around 1:30 but thanks to our generator at home, Poppie ran an extinction card from the house to the plant, we had lights. We stood and sat out side of the plant and watched most of it go by. Our Lady sure did hear our prayers. The worst of the storm passed us by. Micah you joined Papa for nap time. We put you on the lounge chair next to him and you sang e i e i ohhhhh a few times then you fell fast asleep for at least 1 1/2. We are so very proud of you. You are the best sleeper out of all the kids so far!

We were back at our house by 7pm. Enough time for baths and prayers and off to bed. Micah was already in bed but here is a quick photo of most of ya'll with Papa. Malia you are crying only because you are very much ready for bed!

Thank you Lord for protecting us from Gustav!!!!

We humbly ask for the same protection from Ike and any other hurricanes this year!

This was a tree in the park that we played near just yesterday for Micah's birthday.
