We started up our school again today. After taking some time off when Malia arrived in our family it is time to get back into the groove. I hope to use this blog for you to see some of the things we do in school through the years. Yes some of our school is done in PJ's that is one benefit to home schooling........
On Mondays this year we will be following a St Paul Scripture Study. Our Pope declared this to be a Pauline year in the Catholic church. The year to honor St Paul--It has been 2000 years since his birth. So I found the scripture study on Mrs Colleen's blog to help us learn about St Paul. Each week we will be reading a scripture of St Paul's life, journey and travels and then both Grant and Zoe, you will make a clay scene of the scripture. Today's scripture was Acts 7:54-60 The Stoning of Stephen.
Mommie and Poppie are very impressed with both of you. Grant you did a great job on Stephen and the Council men. Zoe you did a great job on
Saul (who later changes his name to Paul) and the stones. We look forward to seeing what you do each week.

We ended the day with going to Uncle Beau Beau and Aunt Jessica's house. We brought swimsuits for all of the older cousins to play in the hose, while Malia and Mi Mi stayed inside. Micah you really thought you were a big kid tonight, hanging out with the big kids was probably the high light of you night.
The highlight of the night for the rest of us was what was waiting for us when we got home. It was about 10:15pm ( a very late night for you kiddos) we were all walking out of the garage under the carport to go in the back door of the house. Poppie flipped on the light so we could see and Mommie yells "No body move" Everyone was saying "WHAT WHAT" Mommie yells "No body move--Poppie get the camera out of the car I gotta blog this!!!!!!!!"
Yes a little baby possum was perched on one of our chairs. We think it was as scared as we were. Zoe you were a little hesitant about it but you had courage to go with Grant and pose for some pics for the blog. Both of you were very brave about the whole thing. The funniest part was to get in the house. Grant you were not too crazy about running past him to go in the house--So Poppie and Micah went unlocked the door while we were in the garage and we each took turns running in the house. In the midst of us doing that the possum got the courage to run off the chair into the dark night.
Isn't it amazing how God will bless us with exciting moments. We had science after 10 o'clock at night, with a live animal at that. Just this year we have been blessed with animals basically at our door step. A humming bird was caught under the back porch--Poppie was able to get it to land on his hand- Along with it landing on both Grant and Zoe's hand. Grant you found a cool looking ant --that we later learned it was a Red Velvet Ant, not to forget all the lizards that roam around daily. Now our very own visit from a
possum--How cool is that!!!!
God was very creative in all of His creations, Thank you Lord for allowing us to explore many of them right in our back yard!
