Nature Friday

Today we headed south of Abbeville and attended Mass at Big Woods. Mrs Jackie, Audrey and Nicholas were able to join us for this special time. Saying Mass, was Father Pio. Grant you were very excited to meet Father Pio since you both share the same name. Father told you that he had never met another Pio in his entire life. Mommie felt so very blessed because all three of you sat very still during Mass. Micah you were great- you basically played with a choo choo train all through Mass, and as long as I was tending to Malia she was good as gold. So today Mass seemed like something I would be willing to tackle by myself more often with the four of you. Thank you to all of you for making Mass enjoyable today!
After lunch we headed out side to play. God provided us with a Nature Study all on his own. There were about 5 horses including a colt in the pasture next to Big Woods. While tending to Micah on the play ground I hear one little boy say "Hey everybody look at that horse trying to get a ride on the other horse". While making my way to the fence to answer any questions that you might have had, Mr Frank Summers (owner of Big woods) came out to let us all know that the horses share lots of love. God created all of us to share love with one another. Mr Frank offer for all of you to feed the horses. So all of you ran inside to get carrots. Zoe you wanted so badly to feed them, especially after Audrey walked right up with no fear. After trying by your self 3 or 4 times, I decided it might be best for me to help you feed them. You really were proud of yourself for doing it.

Well Grant you had an opportunity to go fishing with Mrs Jackie and Nicholas in the pond behind Big Woods. The only catch was Nicholas only had one pole. So you were very much willing just to hang out and watch and hope to share the pole. Well when you got home you told me that ya'll made a pole out of a mop stick, string and wire. It reminded me of Micah's favorite Curious George goes fishing book.
From the look on your face when you got home your pole worked a whole lot better than the one George used in the story book.
We had such a busy weekend planned Nicholas offered to bring them home to clean and freeze some for you. You are very proud of your fish. So proud you were willing to "almost" kiss one!!!

Great Catch guys!!!!! Job well done!

God is Good! Not only did He provide us with beautiful horses to admire, God provided Grant with an extra nature study--a fishing trip---2 nature studies in 1 day. Thank you Lord!
