First Camping Trip for the Fall

The weather looked promising for a great camp out--so we packed up and headed to Indian Creek. This camping trip Poppie wanted to try cots instead of sharing the two air mattress that we have used in the past. So after picking up the new cots and getting a few last minute items we arrived at our site about 5pm. This site was a new site for us but we were all very excited about it since it was at a dead end road. Grant you noticed the hill at the dead end right away and couldn't wait to try your bike on it.

We were able to get the tent set up and supper cooked just after dark. Malia this was your second time camping in your life. The last time you camped you were about 4 months old, if my memory serves me well. That trip you did fantastic!!! This trip wasn't as nice but could have been worse. On your first night you had a really hard time staying asleep. You wanted Mommie to hold you all night---that's crazy girl I don't hold you at home to sleep:) For the most part you made it--I was very tempted to go in the suburban and put you in your car seat with a movie on and I sleep on the back seat. I am really glad you chose to sleep in the tent, Mommie's new cot is very comfortable!!!!!

On Saturday we got a really good treat!! Uncle Beau Beau, Aunt Jessica, Graci, Jack, and MiMi came to spend the day with us in the woods. Each of you had a great time and really enjoyed each others company.Really cool club houses!! Great imagination in the woods!

HANGING OUT WITH THE COUSINS!!!!

Since we attend Mass on Sat evening while camping, Sundays are pretty relaxing. This time we slept in, then had breakfast, then all took a family hike together. Once we returned to our campsite, the tearing down began. Everyone played a part, it was great!!!!

Micah, we really had a good time with you on this camping trip. You are a big 3 year old. You loved riding your jeep and following the big kids around the camp ground. When Sunday rolled around you were very eager to help. Malia you seemed like you were being a good supervisor!!!
After we got all packed up Poppie had a big surprise for Grant and Zoe. There is a rifle range down the road from the camp ground. So on our way out Grant you got to shoot your gun. Zoe you even had a chance to shoot it too!!!
