Ever since both of you moved upstairs Poppie has wanted to make it safe for you. So over the Thanksgiving holidays Poppie installed a fire poll. Grant and Zoe you were "fired" up about it UNTIL it was time to practice going down.
It was a VERY windy day. It was a very windy and a cold day!!!! Probably not the best day to try going down but we tried to convince the two of you anyway.
Zoe--you were very brave to begin with. You actually were excited to try it out. After getting both feet out and ready to go for it you decided that is was not the day for you.
You were very serious about not going down---but still had your sense of humor.
Grant you on the other hand refuse to climb out of the window at all----you thought long and hard about it but decided that you would rather pray about it some more.
I think Poppie enjoyed showing you over and over again how it could be done. Mommie even went down it once. I have to admit --- it was too cold of a day to be trying it out!
Many nights after this eventful day--you both have prayed and keep praying for courage to go down the fire poll but we also ask Our Lord to please protect our home so we don't have a real reason to use it.
