Today is the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes!!! Mommie originally didn't have much planned today due to an allergy test that Micah was suppose to have. Dr Manuel decided not to do that test today, instead to take blood work and go a different route. (More on that as it unravels) We did a small project yesterday and watch the Bernadette Movie and that was going to be about all we were going to do. But......last night Mrs Aimee blessed our family with some goodies for projects to do in case we ended up with time.
Grant and Zoe you both were very excited about the plans for the day. Micah, you also pitched in when you could.
First we made blue jello to represent the spring that Our Lady made in Lourdes when appearing to Bernadette. It was great for our tea time snack today!!!
The other great project that we got to make your very own holy water font. We all got to mix the plaster--Micah, you found joy in that!!! and Grant and Zoe you helped me with all the other details. Grant while making the font you mentioned that you wanted to give yours to Aunt Debbie since she loves Mary so much. So that is what we did! When Mommie called her to see if we could drop off the surprise--She had a surprise for you!!
She was just about to call us to see if Grant and Zoe wanted to go to her house and bake. Both of you were very excited! You both came home with wonderful goodies!
In the midst of this day Malia--you took a 4 hour nap---that is the first for you!
What a blessing!
The rest of the evening was full of joy also---------While Malia took a second nap (2hours long) we enjoyed the gorgeous weather outside. Micah you rode your jeep that Sweetheart and Papa Love gave you for Christmas. Both Poppie and Mommie were very impressed on how you have learned so quickly to drive it. You basically rode all around the plant with no help from any one. Driving with a BIG smile on your face--So much JOY!!
Poppie and Grant got to play a little bit of football tossing and Zoe asked Mommie to jump on the trampoline. Micah, you were soon to join us! Even after all that fun we were still able to go in and eat supper as a family while Malia was snoozing away.
This day was filled with many blessings--that I know were from Our Lady! May God allow us to experience many more days like this through out this year!
Our Lady of Lourdes please continue to pray for us!
